.... Our Breeds ....
Hilltop farms raises birds in a very eco-friendly environment. On site are a windmill, solar panels and a geothermal heating system. Birds are raised in many small, medium and two large flight pens (100 feet x100 feet) called the Amazon and the Nile. All our pens have constant flowing freshwater, numerous nesting boxes, vegetation, cover, shelter and top netting.

Description:

The Bahama Pintail Duck is also known as the White-cheeked Pintail or Summer Duck. They prefer warmer climates, but can adjust to cooler ones as long as they have some shelter for winter temperatures. Females are slightly duller in color and have a lighter colored bill than the male. The drake exhibits no eclipse plumage and is attractive throughout the year. They can be raised along with other birds as they get along with other birds well. They can breed in their first year however most of my birds do not breed until their second year. Clutches consist of 6-10 eggs approximately. They have to be incubated for about 24 days. The ducklings are easy to raise and are fully feathered in about 6 weeks.
