Hilltop farms raises birds in a very eco-friendly environment. On site are a windmill, solar panels and a geothermal heating system. Birds are raised in many small, medium and two large flight pens (100 feet x100 feet) called the Amazon and the Nile. All our pens have constant flowing freshwater, numerous nesting boxes, vegetation, cover, shelter and top netting.

Description:
Baikal Teal is the most exotic looking member of the teal family. The Baikal drake is a striking bird. The breeding male is unmistakable, with a striking green nape, yellow and black auriculars, neck and throat. It has long dropping dark scapulars, and its grey sides are set off on the front and rear with white bars. The female looks similar to a female Green-winged Teal but with a longer tail and a distinctive white spot at the base of the bill and a white throat that angle to the back of the eye.
